A new packaging line is expected to support Corbeo's corporate strategy of significantly expanding local production of rope products for retail.
During 2020, Corbeo invested in additional production capacity to manufacture rope products for retail. These increased volumes, in turn, put pressure on the capacity of the packaging lines. Therefore, the decision was made to invest in a completely renovated packaging line. A Beck Multiplex packaging line with a Beck shrink tunnel was chosen. This combination allows for computer-controlled application of the correct settings for each product type. Moreover, the solution fully aligns with our sustainability vision, both in terms of energy efficiency and safety for our employees.
This investment allows us to flexibly handle the wide variety of rope products and brands. For example, in addition to our own Ledent brand, we recently launched the Snuro brand. Snuro packaging is multilingual and intended for markets outside the Benelux. We're also seeing increased interest in our private label approach.
This new packaging line will allow us to produce 8,000 to 15,000 rope packages per day.
