Electric fencing for meadows

A fence that works perfectly at the start but barely delivers a shock at the far end — that's almost always a resistance problem. The lower the Ω/m of your conductor, the less voltage drop over distance. Our selection tips:

Cattle, sheep, goats, hobby animals: cord — more compact and cheaper per metre
Horses: tape, unless a visible physical barrier already exists — then a discreet cord is enough
Short, temporary lines (up to 300m): a basic version is sufficient
Long, permanent fences (up to 18,000m): choose a low-resistance option (< 0.2 Ω/m) so the far end still delivers enough shock
